This small cru is ideally located on the Saint Emilion plateau, close to some of the region's renowned properties (Figeac and Cheval Blanc). The 9 hectares are spread over different localities, locally known as Fortin, Corbin... The quality of the wine produced is partly due to the sandy loam to clay soil resting on a highly ferruginous sand-clay subsoil.
As is appropriate in the Saint Emilion Grand cru appellation area, and for the terroir, the vineyard is planted with 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc (40 ares date back to 1932!) and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
