Vineyard and vinification

The vineyards of Château Haut Segottes comprise around twenty plots totalling 9 hectares. These plots, located among those of the greatest names in the appellation, have an exceptional terroir with sandy-loam to clay soil resting on a sandy-clay subsoil with a high iron content.

In complete harmony with this remarkable terroir, the grape varieties are 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc.

Our wines

The high quality of the wines produced is partly due to the terroir, but also to the selection used to make the wine, which is bottled at the estate after ageing for 12 to 18 months. Château Haut Segottes wines are sold directly to private customers, restaurants, wine merchants and export markets.
